SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — The Essex County chapter of the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom gathered for its second Iftar celebration in a member’s South Orange home. Iftar is the meal eaten by Muslims after sunset on Ramadan. The sisterhood works to connect Muslim and Jewish women, who have more in common than they do in differences.
