NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley resident Caroline Ritacco has been nominated for a Perry Award as Outstanding Youth Actress in a Play for her performance as Young Molly in Neil Simon’s “Jake’s Women,” directed by E. Dale Smith-Gallo and staged in late March and early April at Studio Montclair in Montclair. Also nominated from that production are Cindy Rhea, of West Milford, for Outstanding Featured Actress in a play for her role as Edith, and Sam Silver for Outstanding Stage Management of a Play. Studio Players also won four other nominations, an improvement over its last year’s single nomination.

The NJ Association of Community Theatres (NJACT) reviews and nominates productions at over 200 member theaters statewide. With its seven nominations, the Montclair Studio Players now rank among a dozen such honored companies. Perry Awards, presented by the New Jersey Association of Community Theatres, recognizer outstanding achievements in New Jersey Community Theater.

Thirty-three awards are presented each year, in both performance and technical categories.
