BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The first-grade students of St. Thomas the Apostle School in Bloomfield last week learned about tornadoes and how they form. After gaining this knowledge, the students were able to take cleaned water bottles, fill them with soap, water, and glitter, and create mini-tornadoes. This is one of the first STEM Projects of the year for the first-graders.
Meanwhile, their seventh- and eighth-grade counterparts are creating scientific masterpieces in the STEM Lab. Above, showing off their creations are first-graders Kaylee and Ravi, both residents of Bloomfield.
