WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Shabbat Project 2016 was a huge success, with close to 100 participants at the challah bake, more than 340 participants at Friday night dinner, 50-plus at the Shabbat House luncheon, and close to 200 at the havdalah concert, according to a press release.
The Shabbat Project, a project of West Orange Encounters, is one of many initiatives to enhance the unity of the West Orange Jewish community, and to encourage those who are not affiliated with a synagogue to become more engaged. West Orange Encounters is planning on hosting mini Shabbat Projects throughout the year, among other programming. For more information, contactShabbatWO@gmail.com.
