WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange Arts Council members, local artists, art lovers and supporters came together to mark the first anniversary of the West Orange Arts Center at 561 Valley Road on Saturday, Oct. 15. The establishment of the arts center greatly enhanced the ability of the WOAC to advocate for artists by creating more platforms for creative expression, according to a press release.
“The evening was made particularly special because we celebrated with our members and town officials,” WOAC Chairwoman Carol Black-Lemon said in the release. “Thanks to our board members and volunteers who gave their time and energy relentlessly over the past year to grow the center, we’re making an impact. We welcome our newest WOAC members, who joined during the event.”
WOAC artist member Adam Gustavson and Paul Butler set the tone for a lovely evening with their musical talent. West Orange Mayor Robert Parisi; Township Council members Susan McCartney, Jerry Guarino and Michelle Casalino; and the Friends of the West Orange Public Library came out to celebrate.
