BELLEVILLE, NJ — Montclair’s Brian R. Sterling, a West Orange native, has been named to the board of trustees at Clara Maass Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility.
Sterling is a principal and co-head of the New York-baked investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill & Partners LP.
“Mr. Sterling brings both extensive business experience and a strong commitment to community service,” Clara Maass board of trustees Chairman Robert Gaccione said in a press release. “In addition to his ongoing service to Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation board, we welcome his vision on the hospital board.”
“My first exposure to Clara Maass Medical Center occurred in 2012 when I became a patient,” Sterling said in the press release. “Even though it was right after Hurricane Sandy and in the midst of a busy weekend, I was incredibly impressed by the top-notch care delivered at this community hospital. Two years later, I was named to the Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation board of trustees. Now, in addition to my continued role on the Foundation board, I consider it a privilege to also become a member of the Clara Maass Medical Center board of trustees.”
