Super Bowl champ supports Clara Maass Medical Center at golf invitational

SUMMIT, NJ — Two-time N.Y. Giants Super Bowl champion David Diehl served as honorary chairperson of the Clara Maass Medical Center Golf Invitational on Monday, Oct. 25, at Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit. Diehl was joined by his longtime quarterback, Eli Manning, and many former teammates, as the annual event raised nearly $250,000 to support patient services and Healthcare Heroes at RWJBarnabas Health’s Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville.

An Essex County resident, Diehl has been a strong supporter of Clara Maass Medical Center since his playing days and currently serves as an ambassador for RWJBarnabas Health and the Matthew J. Morahan III Health Assessment Center for Athletes. He speaks regularly to young athletes, parents and coaches on topics such as leadership, sportsmanship, and the importance of concussion education and cardiac screenings, among other topics.
