BLOOMFIELD, NJ — This April, Brookdale ShopRite in Bloomfield donated 6,000 bottles of water for everyone who is returning to their school buildings, after more than a year of remote learning.
“We wanted to do something to welcome the students back and since the water fountains in the schools will be off, we felt this would be a great service on the first day of school,” said Neil Greenstein of Brookdale ShopRite.
“Brookdale ShopRite has been a long time supporter of the Bloomfield Educational Foundation in the form of race and walkathon sponsorships, support for the annual galas and scholarships for college-bound high school seniors. This gift is very generous and typical of the way in which they support their community,” BEF Chairperson Terry Mullane said.
