Essex County to hold computer and electronics recycling day

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — Essex County will host a computer and electronics recycling day on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 125 Fairview Ave. in Cedar Grove. Though free for all county residents, they must provide proof of residency at the site; commercial and large quantity users may not drop off items. Items accepted include: computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, scanners, telecom equipment, speakers, televisions, keyboards, main frames, VCRs, stereos, DVD players, toasters, irons and old cell phones. The county will not accept: smoke detectors or carbon monoxide alarms.
