Rabbi Yoffie to speak at Temple Sholom of West Essex

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — Temple Sholom of West Essex in Cedar Grove will host Rabbi Eric Yoffie as a guest speaker on Friday, Nov. 11. The talk, “The American Jewish Revolution: Making the Case For a Jewish Golden Age,” takes place during 8 p.m. Shabbat services. Services are open to the public.

Yoffie is the president emeritus of the Union for Reform Judaism. He has been a pioneer in interfaith relations and has launched movementwide dialog programs with both Christians and Muslims. Yoffie has also been deeply involved in issues of social justice and community concern. He writes and lectures on Israel and the Middle East, American Jewish life, interfaith relations and American religious life. He writes for Time Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Jerusalem Post and Israeli daily Haaretz.
