JFS of MetroWest launches monthly support group for parents of LGBT youth

FLORHAM PARK, NJ — Jewish Family Service of MetroWest will begin offering a support group for parents of LGBTQ+ youth this November. This group is intended for parents whose child is first coming out or has already come out. It will provide parents a safe space to find the support and resources they need and deserve.

The group will meet for seven sessions from 8 to 9 p.m. beginning Nov. 14 and continuing Dec. 19, Jan. 16, Feb. 20, March 20, April 17 and May 15. The group will meet at JFS offices, located at 256 Columbia Turnpike, Suite 105 in Florham Park. Proud Parents will be facilitated by licensed clinical social worker Stephanie Warm.
