MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — JFS MetroWest offers “Anybody Have A Map? Navigating Mental Health For Teens,” geared to parents of middle and high school students on Thursday, March 15, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Adath Shalom, 841 Mountain Way in Morris Plains. This program is free and open to the entire community.
Licensed clinical social worker Sara Mendez-Emma, clinical director of child and adolescent services at JFS MetroWest, will lead a discussion about how to open the lines of communication with your child and what, when and how to talk to your child about stress, worries and their feelings. She will share possible warning signs for emotional distress and provide parents with practical information on how they can help.
