VOORHEES, NJ — New Jersey American Water announced on April 19 that Cheryl Naimoli has been named director of operational risk management. In this role, Naimoli will focus on enhancing workplace behaviors, practices and training to achieve the company’s goal of zero incidents.

She brings more than 20 years of professional experience and has a strong track record of exceptional safe and reliable operations, and continuous process improvements,” said Thomas Shroba, NJAW vice president of operations.
Naimoli joins the company after serving as environmental, health and safety manager for McMaster-Carr Industrial Supply Company. She began her career Sunoco Inc. as a safety engineer and later held roles of increasing responsibility in health and safety positions.
Naimoli holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and engineering from Drexel University and is active with the American Society of Safety Engineers, Women’s Leadership Conference and Society of Women Environmental Professionals.
