RSVP Center wins two awards

Jewish Family Service of MetroWest Executive Director Reuben Rotman and RSVP Center Director Stephanie Grove hold the 2016 FEMA Individual and Community Preparedness Awards, which were awarded to the RSVP Center of Essex & Hudson Counties, which is sponsored by JFS of MetroWest.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The RSVP Center of Essex & Hudson Counties, which is sponsored by Jewish Family Service of MetroWest, won two 2016 FEMA Individual and Community Preparedness Awards. The awards were honorable mention for Outstanding Inclusive Initiatives in Emergency Management and honorable mention for Community Preparedness Champions.

The awards recognize the outstanding efforts of individuals, programs and organizations throughout the country working to prepare their communities for emergencies. The RSVP Center of Essex & Hudson Counties has held several events in which RSVP volunteers have assembled emergency preparedness kits for homebound seniors.
