SHIP counselors offer advice on Medicare open enrollment

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Medicare open enrollment is from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7. The State Health Insurance Program is a statewide program that provides free, objective, confidential help to New Jersey Medicare beneficiaries who have problems with or questions about Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Part D and Long-Term Care Insurance Services. Services are provided via telephone, face to face or through public education presentations.

Counselors provide information and assistance so that individuals can make the best, most informed decisions.
