Volunteers needed at Brookdale

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Volunteers are welcome for the maintenance of the Brookdale Park Rose Garden. The volunteers will be at their duties several times this month. The park will also host a 90-minute early morning bird walk that is free although donations are welcome.

Join the Rose Garden team The Thursday Morning Rose Garden Team meets at the Essex County Rose Garden in Brookdale Park every Thursday from late March until the end of October. Upcoming sessions are May 12, May 17 and May 24, all at 10 a.m. to noon at the Rose Garden.
Newcomers of all ages are invited to join this friendly and dedicated group of volunteers. Participants will have the opportunity to learn a great deal about rose pruning and care while helping maintain one of our community’s public gardens. No experience necessary.
