EAST ORANGE, NJ — Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr., fifth from left, announced that Isaiah House from East Orange was among 16 Essex County municipalities and 39 non-profit community organizations that received a total of $4.5 million from the Community development Block Grant program and the Emergency Shelter Grant program on Tuesday, March 1. The grant programs are funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and administered by the Essex County Division of Housing and Community Development. Joining the county executive are, from left, Freeholder President Britnee Timberlake, Freeholder Lebby Jones, Freeholder Patricia Sebold, Isaiah House Executive Director Zammeah Bivins-Gibson and Deputy Director Nancy Hick, Freeholder Vice President Brendan Gill and Assembly Speaker Emeritus Sheila Oliver.
