Celebrating women’s suffrage in the United States

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Essex County NJ Republican Women celebrated the centennial of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, with dinner and a program on Aug. 16 at Calandra’s Mediterranean Grill in Fairfield. 

The evening was organized by Program Vice President Carol Gallentine and included charter members, new members and guests. Statements were made by many, including Natasha Rogers, who immigrated to the United States from the Soviet Union. The evening’s program, presented by Carol Simon Levin, was called “Telling Her Story.” Special guests included 10th Congressional candidate Jennifer Zinone.
