Free flu shots given to Irvington residents

IRVINGTON, NJ — Irvington Mayor Tony Vauss announced that the Department of Health for the Township will be giving flu shots to adult Irvington residents at no charge.

“We have begun to provide flu shots to our residents,” said Vauss. “Flu season is here and, in order to keep our residents and community well, we are providing flu shots.”

“The flu is a not something any of us wants to have,” said Irvington Health Director Dr. Stephanie Bush-Baskette. “It is also very easily spread to other people. We urge the residents to some to Town Hall on the dates and times indicated and get a flu shot to protect themselves and the people with whom they come in contact.”

The dates of the Flu Clinic, which is located in the basement, Room 9, of the Municipal Building at 1 Civic Square, are Nov. 19, 23 and 24; and Dec. 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30. The time on all days is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Patients must be 18 years or older. This is for adults only.
