NEWARK, NJ — Members of the Muslim community came together at Luis Muñoz Marin Elementary School in Newark for an iftar sponsored by the Newark Board of Education. During the month of Ramadan, during which observant Muslims fast from sunup to sundown, community members will attend iftars after sundown, at which they break the fast with one another.
