LIVINGSTON / MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Newark Academy arts department will welcome Tony Award-winning actress Priscilla Lopez as the 2016 Artist-in-Residence from Feb. 22 through 25.
Lopez is best known for her part in the original production of “A Chorus Line” on Broadway, where she played the role of Diana Morales. She also won a Tony Award for her performance in “A Day in Hollywood, A Night in the Ukraine” and she recently appeared on Broadway in “Pippin.” Lopez has an impressive resume that spans more than four decades and includes theater, movies and television.
A Montclair resident, Lopez has taught at Newark Academy in the past. Lopez is excited to return to Newark Academy where she will work with Newark Academy students in acting, singing and dancing classes.
