LIVINGSTON, NJ — Come and celebrate Sukkot at Temple B’nai Abraham’s Sukkot Block Party, sponsored by TBA Jewish Learning Program and The Early School, on Sunday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon. Join the community for a morning of music, food, Sukkot activities and crafts. Shmooze with friends, new and old, meet members of the TBA congregational family while enjoying this Sukkot party featuring arts and crafts for all ages to help decorate the sukkah. Fulfill the mitzvah of shaking the lulav and etrog in the sukkah. This event is free and open to the community. Continue celebrating Sukkot on Monday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m., when Temple B’nai Abraham holds services in observance of the holiday. Historically, Sukkot commemorates the 40-year period during which the children of Israel were wandering in the desert and lived in temporary dwellings, or sukkahs. Sukkot lasts for seven days.
