LIVINGSTON, NJ — On Friday, Oct. 6 , at 7:30 p.m., following Shabbat services at 6:30 p.m., Temple B’nai Abraham Sisterhood and the Social Action Committee will sponsor a Shabbat dinner in the sukkah at the temple, 300 East Northfield Road, Livingston. Climate reality leaders Meghan Marohn and Shannon Falkner will speak on “The Climate Crisis and its Solutions.”
Last March, the two Chatham High School teachers participated in Al Gore’s three-day Climate Reality Leadership Corps training program in Denver, Co., where they learned about climate change and the solutions available, globally-making this a personal issue for citizens on every continent. Through their presentation, they’ll teach about the specific threats the planet faces, the staggering growth and affordability of renewable energy technologies, and how everyone can participate in the People’s Climate Movement. A question-and-answer session will follow.
Admission is charged. All are welcome to attend. Reservations are strongly requested; register online at www.tbanj.org. For further information, call 973-994-2290.
