LIVINGSTON, NJ — On Monday, March 19, members of Club TBA at Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston celebrated the “conclusion” of Passover with a Moroccan tradition called Mimouna. Mimouna is a traditional festival celebrated at nightfall on the last day of Passover and throughout the following day until sundown. While most are filled with matzo fatigue by the end of Passover, the Moroccan Jewish community is ablaze with the excitement of Mimouna. To commemorate the holiday, Club TBA members made mufletas, traditional Moroccan crepe-like pancakes that are dipped in honey and filled with chocolate or jelly.
