LIVINGSTON, NJ — The National Council of Jewish Women, Essex County Section will hold its 2018 opening event on Tuesday, Oct. 23, featuring charming and witty best-selling author Jennifer Weiner.

Weiner’s books have spent more than five years on The New York Times bestseller list with more than 11 million copies in print in 36 countries. Among her novels is “In Her Shoes,” which was turned into a major motion picture starring Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette and Shirley MacLaine. In addition to her many novels, she has written “The Guy Not Taken,” a short story collection; “The Littlest Bigfoot,” the first in a trilogy of middle-grade novels; and “Hungry Heart: Adventures in Life, Love, and Writing,” a nonfiction collection.

“Jennifer Weiner’s writing speaks to women’s lives and the importance of their stories,” NCJW/Essex President Lesley Greenstein said. “We are looking forward to kicking off the upcoming year with her frank and funny take on the world.”
