Rachel Coalition invites area synagogues to educate community about DV

LIVINGSTON, NJ — In past years, Rachel Coalition, a division of Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ, has partnered with synagogues to educate and provide awareness about domestic violence in the MetroWest community. With the pandemic continuing and the frequency of domestic violence increasing, synagogues are asked to participate in 2021 Rachel Shabbat, “March Forward Toward Freedom.” Kicking off on March 12 and 13, and running through the spring based on scheduling availability, synagogues will unite in educating their congregations about domestic violence. This is an opportunity for rabbis of the community to lend their voices and authority to issues of domestic violence in the Jewish community.
