LIVINGSTON, NJ — The nearly 1,600 attending physicians at Saint Barnabas Medical Center recently elected leaders among the group to serve two-year terms as medical staff officers. Inducted at the quarterly medical staff meeting on April 6, Dr. Alan Garten will serve as medical staff president along with 1st Vice President Dr. Michael Addis, 2nd Vice President Dr. John Shumko, secretary Dr. Alison Grann and treasurer Dr. Michael LaSalle.
“Led by Dr. Alan Garten, our new medical staff officers are integral to carrying out Saint Barnabas Medical Center’s mission of compassionate care, health care excellence and superior service. Their leadership and vision will expand pathways to outstanding care for our patients and their families,” SBMC President and CEO Stephen P. Zieniewicz said.
