LIVINGSTON, NJ — On Saturday, Sept. 1, beginning at 9 p.m., Temple B’nai Abraham, located at 300 East Northfield Road in Livingston, will hold its observance of Selichot with light refreshments, followed by a brief service at 10 p.m.
Selichot, literally “forgiveness,” is the service held on a Saturday evening before Rosh Hashanah to help prepare for the High Holy Days. It is a moment for reflection and preparation for the personal accounting in the days ahead. During the service, Rabbi Clifford Kulwin will share thoughts on “Forgiveness for What?”
