‘State of the Garden State’ at TBA

LIVINGSTON, NJ — With no statewide elections in New Jersey in 2016, national issues are taking center stage this election cycle. However, with Gov. Chris Christie’s potential role in a Trump administration, at least one “safe” congressional seat in play, and the state’s economic, transportation, education and environmental sectors heavily influenced — even jeopardized — by what goes on nationally, New Jersey has a huge stake in the outcome from the Nov. 8 election.

This year, on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m., Temple B’nai Abraham again invites the community to explore “The State of the Garden State” with Tom Moran, editorial page editor of the Star-Ledger; Matt Katz, New Jersey reporter for WNYC and author of “American Governor: Chris Christie’s Bridge to Redemption”; and Mary Alice Williams, a former national network correspondent and current news anchor of NJTV, New Jersey’s public television network. These three veteran and prize-winning journalists will help attendees understand the issues and personalities of the 2016 election, and the potential impact on New Jersey.

This event is free and open to the community; register online. TBA is located at 300 E. Northfield Road in Livingston. For more information, call 973-994-2290 or send an email to tbainfo@tbanj.org. Visit the TBA website at www.tbanj.org.
