MAPLEWOOD, NJ — May 2nd – May 6th, Valley Street between Tuscan Road and Millburn Avenue will be closed from today, May 2, through Friday, May 6, due to work being done by New Jersey American Water. Vehicles will be detoured onto Prospect Street, Millburn Avenue and Springfield Avenue.
This will cause additional traffic in the immediate area as well as increased traffic on Springfield Avenue, according to a release from the township. The work will typically last from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, as long as no unexpected obstacles are encountered.
During this time frame, there may be limited access to Tuscan School on Harvard Avenue after morning drop-off until approximately 3 p.m. It is recommended that you plan an alternate route to avoid this area if possible. The road will be reopened daily following the construction.
