WEST ORANGE, NJ — FAMILYConnections’ “A Taste of NJ’s Best” will be Wednesday, May 2, at the Wilshire Grand Hotel, 350 Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange. This popular evening of music and delicious food will benefit more than 4,000 area children, adults and families.

This year’s event honorees include Short Hills’ Beth Berns, a former trustee of FAMILYConnections, and her family, longtime supporters; and West Orange’s Bernice Manshel, former director of DYFS and FAMILYConnections trustee.

A Taste of NJ’s Best has been an Essex County fundraising favorite and once again promises an exceptional array of NJ’s finest award-winning restaurants and caterers. In addition to fine wines and beer, this year’s gala will feature specialty vodka cocktails, too.

“This fun evening celebrates the work that FAMILYConnections does to build strong families and communities throughout seven counties,” Executive Director Jacques Hryshko said. “If you want to enjoy the finest food from New Jersey’s best while helping your neighbors in need, please join us!”

FAMILYConnections serves Essex and surrounding counties with 35 behavioral health programs for all ages, helping people overcome major challenges including domestic violence, mental illness, addiction, trauma and poverty. Funds raised from “A Taste of NJ’s Best” will support these services and deliver hope and a second chance for local children and families.
