Millburn congregation to host Pulitzer Prize winner

MILLBURN, NJ — One week before the national elections, Congregation B’nai Israel will host foreign affairs expert and Pulitzer Prize winner Bret Stephens on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 9:45 a.m. Stephens, the deputy editorial page editor for The Wall Street Journal, will be speaking on “The Nine Commandments for Mideast Policy.”

Stephens is one of the foremost authorities on U.S. foreign policy and the forces that are shaping the world. He speaks frequently about Israel and the issues confronting the Middle East. He is a popular, respected, award-winning journalist famous for what the Pulitzer Prize Board called “his incisive columns on American foreign policy and domestic politics, often enlivened by a contrarian twist.” In addition to writing his weekly “Global View” column, he’s responsible for the Journal’s international opinion pages, and is a member of the Journal’s editorial board. Previously, he was editor-in-chief of The Jerusalem Post.

Following the presentation, Dov Ben-Shimon, CEO and executive vice president of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ, will moderate a question-and-answer session with Stephens.

The program is free and open to the community.
