MILLBURN, NJ — Essex County officials gathered Dec. 21 to cut the ribbon on an open-air pavilion in South Mountain Reservation. The steel and wooden structure is located along Crest Drive by the Washington Rock lookout area. It is developed on the site of a former parking area and provides hikers and other park visitors with a place to rest, get out of the rain or find shade on a sunny day. It was funded with a grant from the NJ Green Acres program.
