Vandalism at Mayapple Hill field in South Mountain Reservation

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Someone in a heavy, four-wheel drive vehicle drove in concentric circles tearing up the grassy field at Mayapple Hill in the South Mountain Reservation earlier this April. The county is filling in the ruts and replanting the grass, but this diverts its scarce resources, and makes the field unusable at this time.
