NEWARK, NJ — Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose announced that Newark Police Officer Manny Marques was immediately suspended without pay after his arrest, according to a Sept. 14 press release.
Marques, 36, a 14-year veteran, is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility.
All inquiries related to the matter are being handled by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, which is investigating this incident.
