NEWARK, NJ — On Monday, May 25, Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark joined thousands of Catholic cemeteries nationwide with an online video broadcast of its annual Memorial Day Mass and program, “Serving God and Country: A Memorial Day Salute to Our Heroes.” The annual program honors men and women who died while serving in the U.S. armed forces and recognizes both military veterans and active-duty military personnel serving the country. Cardinal Joseph Tobin, Archbishop of Newark, celebrated this year’s Memorial Day Mass for the fourth consecutive year at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
