NUTLEY, NJ — The Nutley CROP Hunger Walk is going virtual this year. Walkers are invited to walk for an hour — or whatever their abilities allow — anytime from Sunday, Oct. 18, through Saturday, Oct. 24.
With the virtual walk everyone is invited to register online, collect sponsors, walk during the week designated, share pictures to social media and submit their donations. The Nutley walk page is Nutley CROP Hunger Walk, where walkers can register, join a team, review walk information and see pictures of some past walks. Everyone is invited to print a CROP sign and walk with their friends or their church or group with the precautions of wearing a mask and social distancing.
Walkers are encouraged to visit the general CROP Hunger Walk website at www.crophungerwalk.org to find lots of fundraising tips along with activities for children, youth and adults to make it a fun and educational experience.
The walk is sponsored by the Nutley Clergy Fellowship. For more information, contact Rick DeKovessey at [email protected] or Lisa Feraco at [email protected]. Participants’ efforts will help the hungry around the world with 25 percent of funds raised providing food through the Nutley Family Service Bureau Food Pantry and the Vincent Church Care Kitchen.
