SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — The (Re)Connection Group from Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel enjoyed a hike along the trails at South Mountain Reservation in South Orange recently. The group, for adults in their mid-40s and older, gets together several times a year for conversation and informal fun, from barbecues and cocktail parties to hikes and dinners out. These events give these members of the Reform synagogue the chance to reconnect with each other or develop new friendships at a period in their lives when they have more time for community and activities.
