MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Maplewood Green Team has been working on three important sustainability outreach programs. Maplewood environmentalists need to mobilize to advocate for these programs with their friends and neighbors, according to a release from the Green Team.
Learn about these programs and how you can advocate for them at a meeting on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the basement of the Maplewood Memorial Library, 51 Baker St.
These programs include:
- The Maplewood Solar Challenge, which helps residents see all their solar options in direct comparison from contractors who have been pre-approved by Sustainable Jersey;
- The Home Performance with Energy Star Program, which helps residents afford insulation and other sustainability upgrades; and
- Comfort Partners, a state-run program that helps income-qualified residents, including renters, get sustainability upgrades that lower their energy bills.
