MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Harrison Woods, right, Columbia High School’s three-time class president and senior Student Council president for the Class of 2016, hands over the gavel to Samori Etienne, left. Etienne will take over as Columbia High School’s 105th CHS Student Council president in the fall.
“It has been a great honor to have been voted in by my class for the past four years and to have been able to serve them,” Woods said in a release. “I am proud of all that we have achieved in this time and the numerous awards that Columbia High School has received through our efforts. We have learned so much in our various roles under the guidance of our dedicated advisers Mrs.Suzanne Ryan and Mrs. Hannah Edelman.”
As the student body president, Woods opened the graduation ceremony for the class of 2016 on Wednesday, June 22, with a salute to the flag.
