MAPLEWOOD, NJ – Columbia High School freshman Jack Woods was named to the New Jersey Interscholastic Fencing Association First All-State Fencing Team after his outstanding fencing in the 2016-2017 high school fencing season. This was foil fencer Woods’ first season on the CHS fencing team.
CHS junior and epee fencer Isaiah Ogbeifun was named to the Third All-State Fencing Team after his successful fencing season, and seniors Marissa Viqueira and Camille Pham both were named to the Third All-State Foil Fencing Team after their season of successful fencing on the CHS girls’ fencing team.
The All-State Team honorees were awarded trophies commemorating their fencing accomplishments for the 2016-2017 season. These were presented by the president of the New Jersey Interscholastic Fencing Association Lisa Campy-Sapery at a banquet dinner held in Mountain Lakes last week.
