Davenport to speak at HNA meeting

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Former Maplewood Mayor Ellen Davenport, the first and only woman to hold that position, will be the Women’s History Month guest speaker at the Hilton Neighborhood Association meeting on Thursday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m. in DeHart Community Center, 120 Burnett Ave. in Maplewood.

Davenport will discuss how she became involved in politics, her life as an elected official in Maplewood and her involvement in the state government in Trenton. A question-and-answer session will follow Davenport’s presentation. Everyone is invited to attend this meeting, which is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
