MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Springfield Avenue Partnership and Maplewood Loves Wellness committee will hold their second Health & HarvestFest on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hilton Library Branch area and gazebo grounds, 1688 Springfield Ave. in Maplewood. Presenting sponsors include Natalie Farrell from Weichert Realtors and St. Barnabas Medical Center | RWJ Barnabas Health.
This family-friendly event will feature something for everyone, including plenty of activities for the children, music provided by DJ Jimmy B and performances sponsored by the Park Wood Diner, a cooking demonstration, a healthy cooking contest and almost 40 vendors including retail, food, and health and wellness businesses from Springfield Avenue, Maplewood and neighboring communities.
The healthy cooking contest takes place at noon and includes free samples. Charged activities for the children include painting pumpkins, a bounce house, a petting zoo and pony rides, and old-fashioned street games.
