SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Six speakers presenting topics focused on South Orange’s history, libraries and communities will speak at the second bi-annual symposium presented by South Orange Historical and Preservation Society and South Orange Public Library on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. at South Orange Middle School, 70 Ridgewood Road in South Orange.
Speakers will include: sports journalist Ed Lucas and Chris Lucas; rookie reporter Ruby Scalera; Elizabeth S. Budelman, author of “150 Montrose: A History of its Residents”; lifelong villagers and “library lovers” Meg Marlowe and Tina Holcomb; television host Dustin Dumas; SOPL Director Melissa Kopecky; and Seton Hall University archivist Alan Delozier.
The SOHPS/SOPL Symposium is presented to provide the community with an opportunity to investigate varied topics while spending a fall afternoon with friends, family and neighbors.
There is a suggested donation at the door. Food and drink are prohibited.
