MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Maplewood Garden Club will meet Monday, Nov. 7, at 7:30 p.m. at Maplewood Memorial Library, 51 Baker St., to hear speaker David Culp discuss “The Layered Garden.”

Culp, an expert herbaceous perennial gardener, national gardening lecturer and vice president of Sunny Border Nurseries, will show attendees how to create a layered garden by choosing the correct plants with the understanding of how they grow and change through the seasons, and how to design and maintain one. To illustrate how layering works, Culp will lead a personal tour through each of his celebrated gardens: the woodland garden, the perennial border, the kitchen garden, the shrubbery and the walled garden. Find out what he recommends as the best signature plants for all four seasons at www.davidculp.com.
