“The news these days is filled with stories about the dangers of identity theft. As information thieves get smarter, protecting personal information is of increasing importance. We’re hosting this event to give our community an opportunity to properly dispose of sensitive documents and to protect themselves,” Cherie Leanza, vice president of marketing at the GenWealth Group, said in a press release.
Members of the community must be present to witness the secure destruction and may not drop off materials in advance. This event is for personal materials and commercial/business entities cannot be accommodated.

It’s a great way to declutter your home too.”
Acceptable documents for the shredding event are limited to confidential and sensitive materials only. This includes paper, notebooks, binders and files. Paper clips and fasteners do not have to be removed.
Non-confidential materials, such as books, magazines, newspapers, etc., should be recycled through local municipal recycling programs and will not be accepted. In addition, medical waste, batteries or food items cannot be accepted. All shredded materials will be recycled.
