MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood will host its ninth Green Day fair to demonstrate simple ways that every person can make more planet-friendly, sustainable choices in their lives on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Memorial Park. The fair is a community celebration with live music, how-to demonstrations and eco-vendors, environmental organizations, organic and local food providers and farmers. Green Day offers a variety of events and activities for all ages.
“There has never been a better time to come together with others to get energized by the innovative ideas of tomorrow, to engage in the actions of today and to collaborate on solutions for our future,” Maplewood Committeeman Frank McGehee said in a press release.
“The green team is so excited to share our current projects at Green Day, we hope people will take time out to attend the event to learn more about the sustainability options available in our community,” Maplewood Green Team Chairperson Tracey Woods said in the release.
