SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Take advantage of a free opportunity to reduce your risk of health problems. The South Orange Health Department will hold its 10th annual free health fair on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Orange Fire House, located at 56 Sloan St.
The event’s no-cost health screenings and informational tables will cover: sleep disorders; eye screenings; reiki; blood donations; the South Orange Fire Department and smoke alarms; spinal screenings; face painting for children; osteoporosis screenings; stroke risk assessment; blood pressure, glucose, total cholesterol, HDL , triglycerides and LDL screenings; respiratory screenings; hepatitis B screening with a venous blood test and follow-up; 100 free coupons for residents for microchipping your pet; child identification kits including dental X-ray, photograph, fingerprint and write-up; lead screening for adults and children; pediatric dental screening; a visit from Women, Infants, and Children; and the Domestic Violence Response Team.
