SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Susan Scherreik, founding director of the Stillman School of Business’ Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, has been named a 2016 Top 25 Leading Woman Entrepreneur/Intrapreneur of New Jersey by Leading Women Entrepreneurs. The group annually acknowledges businesswomen who have demonstrated stellar performance and achievement in business and economic innovation, community involvement and advocacy for women. Scherreik was recognized in the Intrapreneur category.

“The women we recognize are amazing role models for women in entrepreneurship and business everywhere,” Linda Wellbrock, CEO of Leading Women Entrepreneurs, said in a press release. “Their tremendous accomplishments are representative of the increasing impact women are making in the world of business. Every year, we continue to be blown away by how many successful women are nominated.”

An executive advisory board selected the winners from nearly 700 initial nominees, based on their performance in four categories, including business savvy and social consciousness. Scherreik and her fellow honorees will be celebrated at the sixth annual Top 25 Leading Women’s recognition event on Nov. 14 at the Liberty House in Jersey City.
