SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel in South Orange will host a lecture by Daniel Seidemann of Terrestrial Jerusalem on Wednesday, June 8, at 7:30 p.m. Seidemann, who founded and leads the non-governmental organization, will present “Getting Real about Jerusalem.” The program, sponsored by TSTI’s Israel Involvement Committee, is free and open to all.
Terrestrial Jerusalem works to identify and track the full spectrum of developments in Jerusalem that could impact either the political process or permanent status options, destabilize the city, spark violence or create humanitarian crises. As an attorney, Seidemann has argued more than 20 Jerusalem-related cases before the Israeli Supreme Court and has participated in numerous Track II talks on Jerusalem between Israelis and Palestinians. From 2000 to 2001, he served in an informal advisory capacity to Prime Minister Ehud Barak’s office on the final status negotiations. He is frequently consulted by governmental bodies on matters pertaining to Israeli-Palestinian relations and developments in Jerusalem.
